Services & fees
The NetRecruiting service
is based on a core service:
-
Taking time to understand
your vacancy, culture and key requirements.
-
We then draft an
advertisement that is specifically tuned to fit with recruitment site
search behaviours/options, but need a client to assist by completing a
simple pro forma advertisement spec or providing a job
description/candidate spec.
-
Placing your advertisement
on relevant job boards - these include both "main" boards - some of whom
then list on multiple subsidiaries - plus at least one selected "niche"
site - these specialist sites are frequently far more effective in terms
of candidate quality.
-
Determining an optimum time
for the advertisement to run. Remember that many potential
applicants will have registered for "jobs by email", so most hear about
a new vacancy within the first few hours. If an advertisement runs
for too long and delays interviewing, result is lost candidates.
-
Applications are reviewed
against a checklist of critical requirements from the client (pro forma
& guidance provided). This will usually include current right to
work in the UK, unless we have been specifically advised that the client
is willing to apply for a work permit. Where requested by our client, we
then conduct detailed telephone pre-screening.
-
Unsuccessful applicants are
rejected.
-
Potentially appropriate
candidates can either be immediately forwarded to the client, or we can
send to the candidates supplementary information such as the client job
description and if appropriate a supplementary application checklist
(e.g. examples of experience and achievements against key requirements).
-
We provide a summary report
on responses - total applicants, referrals and rejections.
We expect the majority of
our clients to be placing a regular number of Internet advertisements
through us, enabling us to provide monthly or quarterly overall management
information including % achievement and cost savings compared with a "just
recruitment agency” policy. We can only do this if we are advised
about offers made and accepted - we will send a pro forma checklist 4
weeks after close of the advertisement and referrals to you.
Opportunities, limitations & exceptions
The fee is fixed:
Graduate recruitment -
roles that will consider "first job" applicants - invariably generates
dramatically greater response than any other posting. Fees for
graduate recruitment services need to be agreed depending on the
assignment - number of roles to be filled, professional discipline, etc.
Very much by exception,
and typically for senior professional positions, we may advise advertising
through the online channel of professional publications. The costs
of such advertising are significantly greater than other Internet
channels. In such an event, options and costs can be separately
agreed.
Other services
We can offer a
comprehensive menu of additional services. However, we would usually
encourage clients to seriously consider managing such activities in house,
in order to maximise cost savings.
-
Interview diary management.
-
Database search. The main job boards offer this facility.
The problem is that these are not necessarily active job seekers -
they have "parked" their CV.
-
Face-to-face interviews (London &
Thames Valley only).
-
Psychometric
assessment - online or combined with face-to-face interviews.
-
Assessment centre design and
management (typically graduate recruitment).
-
Pre-employment background checking and
criminal records checking (where mandatory requirement). This
service is outsourced.
-
Design and
management of client careers site. A well-designed and
up-to-date careers site is a major asset in reinforcing candidates’
interest.
-
Interview and selection training -
either skills, "recruiting within the law" or both.
